College of Education Early Childhood Education Primary Education Secondary Education The College of Education is a nurturing community that supports the growth and aspirations of practicing teachers/educators. The college is home to three education programs. Each program is headed by a department chairman who has expert knowledge in the program area. Each educational program offered by the college leads to a bachelor’s degree and the Ministry of Education teaching certification. Students must complete an overall credit of not less than 135 hours for the bachelor’s degree in education. Programs offered for the Bachelor of Education include Early Childhood Education; Primary Education with emphases in Language Arts & Social Studies and also in Math and Science; Secondary Education with emphases in Mathematics and also in English. All the programs offer candidates the opportunity to experience course work in pedagogy and in the content areas.
