Accounting and Finance

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting is a graduate program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, taxation, corporate finance, governance, and business law. The program emphasizes the application of international accounting standards (IFRS and IPSAS), strategic financial decision-making, quantitative business analysis, accounting information systems, and ethical leadership. Through rigorous coursework, seminars, and an independent research thesis, students develop the analytical, technical, and managerial competencies needed to excel in senior accounting, auditing, financial management, and leadership roles in both the public and private sectors while addressing complex business and financial challenges.

Entry Requirements:
To be admitted into the Master of Science in Accounting program, applicants must satisfy the general admission requirements of the AME University School of Graduate and Professional Studies and successfully pass the Graduate Admission Examination in English and Mathematics. Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a tertiary institution recognized by the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline. Applicants whose undergraduate degree is in an unrelated field may be required to complete designated foundation or preliminary courses before enrolling in the graduate program. In addition, applicants must submit a completed application form, official academic transcripts, copies of original degree certificates, a curriculum vitae or résumé, two letters of recommendation, and any other supporting documents required by the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Admission is subject to the approval of the Graduate Admissions Committee in accordance with the University's graduate admission policies.

Master's in Clinical Social Work

The Master of Social Work (MASW) program is a two-year course designed to prepare students to become competent, ethical, and professional social work practitioners. The program offers two tracks: Clinical Social Work and Administration and Social Development. It provides two options for admission: the Advanced Standing option, which is for students with a background in Social Work degree and requires 45 credit hours to graduate, and the Traditional Full-Time option, which is for students without a background in Social Work degree and requires 60 credit hours to graduate.
